Why the Advocate Program?
The answer is simple; the magnitude is enormous. We are a non-profit, mission-driven organization.
Our business structure supports a 100% service-oriented program. On an individual level, we serve employees and their families; on an organizational level, we serve companies through specific employee groups/HR advisory programs; on a community level, we serve the entire business community, offering work/life, wellness, and behavioral health services.
Your Advocate is an Organizational Tool.
While the roots of our service are in traditional EAP work that serves the individual (assessment, short-term counseling, and referral), we pride ourselves in also serving the organization as a whole to meet its unique needs. Our reach extends far beyond traditional EAP services, to include coaching, work/life resource and referral, wellness and flu-shot sessions, as well as a wide array of unique on-site programs tailored to organizational-specific needs, such as parent coaching or ‘Ask the Expert’ Sessions on specific subject matter. Our success in this area is demonstrated by several of our customers receiving the Maryland Workplace Excellence Award and directly crediting Advocate as a principle factor in their achievement.
Advocate maintains a strong on-site presence with our customers. Each program includes a set of on-site hours in the price. These hours can be used for brown-bag lunch seminars, management training, visibility visits, etc. Based on the case utilization experience, Advocate will recommend program topics that are likely to be well attended. This approach has been well-received by our customers welcoming the organizational guidance. Not only does this result in a customized organizational tool, but also in utilization that is consistently above the industry norm. References are testament to selecting Advocate and having a utilization spike from 1% to 16% in one year!
Your Advocate is Community-Based.
Given the vast differences in demographic areas, Advocate’s approach
to serving employees includes a strong commitment to community.
We provide a personalized, community-based approach to service delivery
whereby clients are served in their local community, utilizing the counsel
and resources specific to each geographic location where employees reside.
This is sometimes misinterpreted for being a local provider that can’t
offer services nationally – not so. We offer EAP, Work/Life, Legal
and Financial services all around our country through partnerships and
allegiances with other counselors and partners who best know their community
members.
Having local knowledge of the unique characteristics of their areas, we
provide employees with the most appropriate, up-to-date information possible.
By using community based businesses and agencies, Advocate enhances our
commitment to develop and support healthy families, healthy workers, and
healthy communities across our nation where our client businesses and
their families reside.
